TANK 300 Side Window Panels: TENGQIAN or MK?

TENGQIAN product gallery photograph showing a side-window assembly with a deployed cable-supported panel on a TANK 300

The TENGQIAN and MK TANK 300 side-window listings show different exterior layouts, so choose by the supplied assembly and intended use—not by the word “panel” alone. The TENGQIAN gallery depicts a framed side-window assembly with a cable-supported surface folded down. The MK gallery shows a slotted outer panel. Those photographs help explain the designs, but neither establishes the complete kit contents or a supported accessory load.

Descriptions and images checked 20 October 2026. The cover and two photographs below come from the corresponding store galleries. We have not fitted or tested either assembly. Other pictured accessories and camping equipment are not an inclusion list.

Key purchase question Does the supplied kit include the entire pictured folding assembly? Which mounting parts and accessory attachments are supplied and supported?

The TENGQIAN description does not publish a working-surface size, load rating or full packing list. The MK description provides more reference specifications but does not establish a rated carrying capacity. A single default variant also does not tell you whether the order contains one side, both sides or every component visible in the installation photo.

What does the TENGQIAN gallery help you plan?

The opening photograph shows a useful idea for a touring layout: a small working area beside the rear quarter, away from the centre of the cargo opening. The second view makes the folding panel, edge shape and support cables easier to see. If this is the layout you want, ask the seller to identify every part of the pictured assembly and confirm which parts belong to the current product.

Separate the surface you can see from the tasks you hope it will support. For a small preparation board or a place to organise utensils, request usable open dimensions, working height and the documented use limit. Photographed cups and coffee equipment are styling examples, not evidence that a hot appliance, heavy container or a particular load is approved. Confirm the instructions before planning equipment around the panel.

The close-up helps identify the folding layout. Ask whether this complete assembly is supplied, how it closes and what use limit applies to the installed product.

What does the MK layout offer?

The MK image shows a perforated outer panel with a surrounding frame and an example upper mounting arrangement near a roof-mounted accessory. That slotted appearance may suit a build whose exterior accessories already use a similar visual style. It is also a useful starting point for discussing attachment positions with the supplier, rather than assuming any pouch, box or bracket can be bolted to any opening.

Ask for the permitted accessory types, attachment hardware and load documentation for the complete assembly. Confirm whether the pictured upper support depends on a particular roof rack, crossbar or bracket. A material specification alone does not answer those questions. The listing expressly describes the product as an appearance and accessory panel, not a rock slider, jacking point or recovery point.

Will the assembly fit my vehicle and existing rack?

Send your exact build year, grade and powertrain together with photos of the intended side, window shape, surrounding trim and roof equipment. The TENGQIAN listing asks buyers to confirm their version; MK's introductory petrol/hybrid wording is not a complete Australian fitment chart. Do not treat “universal” in the MK product name as confirmation for every TANK model, build or powertrain.

Have the fitter assess the whole position: passenger-door movement, tailgate access, window coverage and the space beside any awning or side ladder. Request the fixing method, protection between the assembly and painted surfaces, and confirmation of any drilling, bonding or trim removal. A nearby rack or ladder may be visually compatible while still using the same space or fixing location.

Original TANK 300 side-panel ordering checklist covering the supplied assembly, exact vehicle, supporting mounts and open and closed clearances
Use the current kit contents and installation drawing to compare the two options. Neither a gallery image nor a package measurement replaces that information.

How should I choose before ordering?

Start with the layout you actually want. Shortlist TENGQIAN if the pictured folding arrangement is your priority, subject to confirmation that the ordered assembly provides that function. Shortlist MK if its slotted exterior-panel design suits your build and the supplier confirms the mounting system and intended attachments. For either option, request closed thickness, open projection where relevant, and photographs or drawings of the complete supplied kit.

If your main aim is a work surface at the rear door rather than beside the window, compare our MK and RAWME tailgate-table guide before committing to a window-mounted layout. They occupy different parts of the campsite and should not be treated as interchangeable installations. Send the product link and your vehicle photographs to Decision Maker 4X4 so the supplied design, hardware and fitment can be confirmed together.
